What insurances does Pikes Peak accept?
Pikes Peak Post Acute accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and many commercial insurance plans. Coverage may vary depending on your provider and clinical needs. Our admissions team is happy to verify benefits and answer insurance-related questions prior to admission.
Will Medicare cover my stay in the facility?
Residents may qualify for Medicare coverage if they meet Medicare eligibility requirements, including a qualifying hospital stay and physician order for skilled care. Coverage amounts and length of coverage vary. Our admissions team can help explain Medicare benefits and answer questions regarding eligibility.
Who do I talk to about questions in regard to financials, billing, and/or admission paperwork?
We employ a full-time Business Office Manager for all financial and billing concerns. Should you have any questions regarding these matters please make an appointment to see our Business Office Manager by contacting the front desk/receptionist.
The Admissions Coordinator will guide you through the necessary forms required on admission and review the rules and regulations regarding Medicare, Medicaid, and various insurances.
Amenities
Will my loved one’s room have a television?
Many short-term rooms include complimentary cable television. Long-term residents may also bring a television from home and inquire about available cable options.
Will my loved one have telephone and internet access?
Telephone hookups are available in resident rooms, and Wi-Fi service is available for residents and guests throughout the community.
Is there someone who provides haircuts?
Yes. Beautician services are available for residents to help them look and feel their best.
Is there private space available for family gatherings?
Yes. Families may reserve the activities lounge for special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, meals, and other gatherings with advance notice.
What is your dining program like?
Our dietary program is overseen by a registered dietitian and food service team. Meals are developed according to physician-prescribed diets and individual nutritional needs. We offer diabetes-friendly meals, medical diets, religious accommodations, supplemental diets, and personalized nutritional support. Alternate menu options may also be available upon request.
Can my loved one receive mail?
Yes. Mail is delivered directly to residents each weekday. Family members are also welcome to take advantage of the Send a Greeting feature on our website to share messages and encouragement with loved ones.
Do your offer activities?
Yes. Pikes Peak Post Acute offers a robust activities program designed to support social engagement, wellness, and enjoyment. Activities include musical performances, current events discussions, newspaper reading groups, singing exercises, fitness classes, stretching programs, trivia, games, gardening, volunteer opportunities, outings, and special events. Family members are encouraged to participate whenever possible.
Questions & Concerns
What role does Social Services play?
Our social services team supports residents and families throughout their stay. Services include care planning, discharge planning, coordination of outside resources, emotional support, family communication, and assistance with services such as dental, vision, podiatry, audiology, dementia assessments, psychological services, and therapy referrals.
What do I do if I have concerns about my loved one’s care?
We encourage residents and family members to share any concerns, questions, or feedback with our team. Our social services department can help address concerns, coordinate communication, and ensure issues are resolved promptly and compassionately.
How do you protect patients, staff, and visitors from COVID-19 and other infectious diseases?
Our team is highly trained and experienced in caring for high-acuity patients and infectious diseases like COVID-19. Our dedicated infection prevention nurse helps ensure we follow current infection prevention guidelines and best practices. This includes educating all staff about the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as N95 masks, surgical masks, gloves, and gowns and when to use COVID-19 protocols required by local department of public health and/or the CDC.
